Built for the EU Battery Regulation (EU) 2023/1542
EU battery passports and dismantling guides, in one platform
Unbolt DPP turns CAD files, BOMs and supplier documents into battery passports, QR codes and engineer-approved dismantling guides. Hosted in Germany and built for audit.
- Passports mandatory from 18 February 2027
One platform for the whole passport
Collect supplier data, generate dismantling guides from CAD, and publish passports for every battery you ship, with a record of who confirmed what.
Supplier data collection
Each supplier sees only their fields, in their own language. They upload what they already have, and values are extracted with the page they came from.
- Cell chemistryNMC 811Confirmed
- Cell manufacturer[Cell supplier name]Confirmed
- Rated capacity20 AhFound on page 3
- Recycled nickel shareNot provided yetMissing, request sent
- Nothing reaches a passport until a person confirms it
- Gaps and contradictions trigger follow-up requests
- See which supplier is holding up which model
Dismantling guides from CAD
Exploded views, removal order, fastener counts, tools and safety warnings, generated from your STEP files and signed off by your engineer.
- Pack and module levels, in the order a technician works
- Missing glue, welds or fasteners are flagged, never guessed
- Same CAD in, same guide out, tied to each signature
Readiness and publishing
Track every battery model from first upload to published passport, then issue QR codes for each unit you ship.
- Completeness by model, supplier and field
- QR codes on your own domain
- Registry file prepared for your upload
Built for battery makers and the companies that assemble them

Questions
Who is legally responsible for the passport?
You are, as the company placing the battery on the EU market. Unbolt does the work under your written authorisation.
Do you upload passports to the EU registry?
You do, through your own registry account. Unbolt prepares the file for you.
Which CAD formats do you accept?
STEP files, ideally AP242. Every major CAD tool can export them.
What happens if we cancel?
Your passports stay readable through a low-cost archive plan, or you move them elsewhere. With your own domain on the QR codes, nothing you printed changes.
Can repairers and recyclers see the dismantling guide?
Access is restricted. Who qualifies will follow the Commission’s access rules, which are still being finalised.
Is Unbolt part of the EU?
No. Unbolt is an independent company and is not affiliated with the European Union.
